BSc in Psychology (in progress)

John is a fourth-year undergraduate student in the Honours Psychology program at McGill University. Taking part in research for the first time, he is eager to learn and work with Dr. Iyer’s team. John enjoys working with people with experience as a lifeguard, swim team coach, and high school integration aide. As VP of Communications for the Student Union of John Abbott College, John managed the team’s social media and participated in the school community. Being passionate about psychology and mental health, he hopes to become a clinical psychologist to help people as they journey through life. Outside of psychology, he appreciates history, philosophy, and literature. He likes to ski, swim, walk with friends, and read in his free time.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
