Carolyn Melro

(she/her)
Postdoctoral Fellow
PhD, Health

Carolyn is a health scientist whose research interest is in health  services and policy research, particularly the development of youth  mental health services in Indigenous Contexts within Canada. She has  spent almost a decade working with and in Indigenous contexts to better  design, implement, and evaluate culturally- and youth-driven health  services. She does this by weaving youth-oriented methods to the  development of health and social services while evaluating system level  factors through a learning health system approach.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
