Ella Campfield

(she/her)
Undergraduate Student

Ella is an undergraduate student in her final year at McGill University, majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Behavioral Science and Social Justice Studies. Having worked with youth for more than 6 years, she is excited to assist Dr. Iyer’s team and contribute to the research they are conducting. Ella is looking forward to pursuing a career in clinical child psychology and continuing to work with youth, helping to better their lives and improve the institutions they interact with. She is currently the President of the Youth Outreach Program at McGill, working directly with Batshaw Youth and Family Services to provide engaging activities for the kids in their group homes and spreading awareness about the mental health of youth in these systems. Outside of school, Ella enjoys multiple artistic disciplines, particularly painting and photography, and loves to bake for family and friends.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
