Ilia Shareghi-Ghahreman

(he/him)
Undergraduate Student

Ilia is an undergraduate student in Anatomy and Cell Biology with a minor in Social Studies of Medicine. This summer, he will be working on a rapid review in Dr. Iyer’s lab to build evidence on demand to address Indigenous youth mental health and wellness.  As an aspiring physician, Ilia hopes to combine his background in medical sciences with his growing interest in public health issues and ecological models of disease to provide more inclusive care for patients. In addition to academics, he enjoys photography,  get-togethers with friends, and long walks exploring the city!

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
