After nearly a decade of dedicated service with the Youth Mental Health Collective, Nicole Pawliuk has officially retired! On April 16, our team gathered for a lively and heartfelt celebration of Nicole’s retirement. It was a joyful occasion filled with laughter, sharing past memories and a delicious snack potluck.

Nicole started at the Douglas in July 1992 at Lyall as a Research Psychologist and in September 2005, Nicole started at PEPP-Montreal. As a Research Assistant with the Youth Mental Health Collective, Nicole contributed to several team projects, including the Montreal and Chennai outcomes projects, MAP pro as well as the PEPP program.

We reflected on both profound and lighthearted moments of Nicole’s years with us. It seemed from her beaming smile that she’s embracing retirement with great enthusiasm. Though we will dearly miss Nicole’s presence, we sent her off with love and our very best wishes for her well-earned retirement!

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
