Gesthika Kaltsidis and Tovah Cowan, two members of the YMHC represented us at the 2026 Canadian Psychological Association meeting in Montreal, from June 4th to 6th!

As Secretary of the Asian Psychology section, Gesthika was instrumental in creating a warm, convivial, and generative environment for her section across many sessions, including the Annual General Meeting and a Section Dinner. On top of all that, she also presented the Aire ouverte ECHO development process, to great interest.

Tovah gave a snapshot presentation of a meta-analysis she is working on with several team members, and really enjoyed getting to learn from the diversity of psychologist and psychological researchers present.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
