BA in Psychology (in progress)

Jill is going into her second year as an Undergraduate student at McGill majoring in Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and minoring in Communications and Behavioural Science. She has a passion for working with youth, having worked as a tutor and in childcare, and volunteering in mental health as a listener at a mental health helpline, helping her practice hands-on through Active Listening training. Her interest in learning about more about stigma surrounding mental health issues and her hopes of working with youth in the future drove her to work with the YMHC, combined with her intrigue in learning more about the research world. In her free time, Jill enjoys plauyomg musical instruments, reading, and physical fitness.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
