BSc in Psychology

Matt is a research assistant who graduated from McGill in Psychology in 2025. Supervised by Dr. Vidya, he completed a thesis about sexually diverse and gender expansive youth’s mental health severity and demographic characteristics in ACCESS Open Minds. His passion for helping others combined with past research and work experiences has solidified his goal of becoming a psychologist. Matt is particularly drawn to qualitative research, with a focus on minority youth and their experiences with trauma. Outside of academics, he enjoys hiking, biking, and photography.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
