Navdeep is a Researcher with a multidisciplinary background and extensive experience of leadership roles in research, business, and a non-profit organization. She is a dentist who has completed PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Université de Montreal and Postdoctoral fellowship from McGill University. She is also Founder and Chairperson of the Sikh Women Association of Montreal. Her research and community service experiences are centred on vulnerable populations. While taking big leaps from dentistry to become a Researcher in the fields of medicine and mental health, she gained expertise in public health and clinical research, development of interventions, mixed methods research, mental health, oral health, patient-oriented research, health literacy and project management. Navdeep oversees team projects’ operations including planning, managing, and monitoring the progress of key research, scientific writing, and knowledge translation activities; supporting hiring, training and supervision of staff and trainees; stakeholder relations and partnerships maintenance; budget oversight while proactively identifying any operational issues of team’s all research activities and providing solutions. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, interior decoration, and long walks in nature.
