Sabrina Saba

Sabrina has a multidisciplinary background in medicine, public health, and health research, with a particular focus on evidence synthesis. Her research experience spans Canada and Bangladesh and includes systematic and rapid reviews, critical appraisal, meta-analysis, clinical research, and translating research findings into evidence-informed recommendations. Her transition from clinical practice to health research was driven by a growing interest in how evidence can shape decisions beyond individual patient care and contribute to broader changes in health systems and policy. Since then, Sabrina has focused on using evidence to inform practice and policy, while also supporting knowledge mobilization and knowledge translation so that research findings can be communicated clearly and applied in meaningful ways. In her current role with the ACCESS Open Minds Indigenous Youth Mental Health and Wellness Network, Sabrina supports evidence synthesis and knowledge-sharing activities in youth mental health and integrated youth services as an Evidence Synthesis Research Coordinator. She is particularly interested in ensuring that research is shaped by the voices and priorities of youth and communities, and that evidence moves beyond publication to inform meaningful, real-world changes in services and care. Outside of work, Sabrina loves reading fiction, cooking a mean biryani, and lifting heavy.
