Elisa Guichenal

(she/her)
MSc Student
BSc Psychology

Elisa recently graduated from Bishop’s University with a major in Psychology and a concentration in Neuroscience. She volunteered at a soup kitchen in France and for the Mental Health Committee at her university, where she organized an addiction panel, gaining a deep understanding of people’s struggles and stigma. She is looking forward to combining her neuroscience background with a clinical focus. She is strongly curious and passionate about psychosis research, loves engaging with and listening to people, and looks forward to working under Dr. Iyer's supervision. Elisa has a passion for both art and science, enjoying painting, drawing, and pottery, as well as sciences of all kinds. In addition, she loves outdoors sports such as skiing, hiking, and climbing.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
