Flavie Couillard

(she/her)
Undergraduate student
BSc in Psychology (Hons)

Flavie is in her final year of her undergraduate degree, studying psychology at McGill University. She is currently working on her second undergraduate honours thesis, asking what youth at Aire Ouvert want from youth-reported clinical assessments, and focusing on amplifying youth voices and their role in shaping the type of care they receive. Her academic interests centre on emotional, social, and cognitive development in children, with a particular focus on designing effective parenting strategies, educational practices, and mental health interventions for youth. Outside the classroom, Flavie is an avid reader, and she also enjoys swimming and skiing.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
