Julie Quadrio

(she/her)
MSc Student
BA in Psychology

Julie is a graduate student with a BA in Psychology and Minor in Diversity and the Contemporary World. Growing up in China with French and Italian parents meant that she adopted three distinct cultures very early on. Her arrival to Montreal was met with so many other people who, like her, have grown to nurture a complex understanding of their many cultures. With this close to her heart, Julie’s research focus is directed toward culturally informed mental health interventions for immigrant and racialized youth, and to use this research to inform policymakers and international development.

During her spare time, Julie takes on her 10,983,237th creative endeavours including crochet and sewing, she also scours markets to find new plants for her apartment that now resembles a tropical oasis to make up for Montreal’s weather!

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
